Family Room: Interior Design Plan and Furnishings

Today I’m sharing the interior design plan and furniture selections for our family room! As always, shout out to the fabulous ladies at Heather Scott Home and Design for their help putting my vision on paper. We actually finalized the selections and ordered some (but not all!) of the furniture you’ll see in this post back in March. Everything was set to be delivered this month, but unfortunately the sectional and two lounge chairs have been delayed until at least September (foam shortages are to blame). Which is disappointing, but such is life sometimes. If I’ve learned anything renovating and designing, it’s patience!

Before and After: Formal Dining & Butler’s Pantry

Just a quick and easy home renovation related post today. I’m sharing some before and after images of our formal dining room and butler’s pantry. And, this is wholly unrelated, but I feel like you should know that I’m writing this post from my hotel bar in Dallas sipping a spritz and nomming on some nachos BY MYSELF. Truly living my best life in this moment. Also, this bar is always a SCENE, so the people watching is beyond epic. Cheers! The Liz List - October 18, 2019

Happy Friday! 🥳 Y’all Kate turns 6 months old tomorrow. 😩 I can’t even handle it. It flew by. Everyone warned me it would and it has and it’s wild. What’s cool though is she’s starting to be more interactive and fun. Honestly babies are kind of just bumps on a log for a while. 😅 Obviously you still love them through the boring (but adorable) newborn phase, but they really are much more enjoyable to hang out with all day once they start babbling and giggling. It’s been fun. Also, I decided I’m going to start doing highs and lows on here. It’s an easy way to share about my week + allows me to keep it real while giving me an outlet to maybe complain a little. Sometimes a girl just needs to complain! So here we go…
