Itโs almost been 2 full months since my last Liz List. Yikes! ๐ฌ Certainly not intentional, but sometimes life gets in the way. Itโs honestly been a weird couple of months for me, personally. Donโt worryโฆ nothing too bad! Iโm just working through the normal new mom emotions surrounding this life transition into motherhood, and itโs had me a bit distracted from the blog. Iโm actually working on a blog post about it right now, but since itโs more personal and involves lots of feelings itโs taking me a bit to finish it up. More to come!
Read MoreThereโs this strange period in Texas when football season has begun, pumpkin spiced everything has hit the shelves, Halloween is around the corner, and all of us so desperately want it to be fall that in an effort to mentally ditch summer we - perhaps prematurely - decorate our front porches with mums and hay as if we can somehow persuade Mother Nature to bring us the first cold front early this year. Today (well, tonight as Iโm writing) Iโm correcting that!

Theyโre staying at our house with my mom to watch Kate while David and I travel to Las Vegas for a little weekend getaway. As I mentioned on Instagram this week, this will be the first time both of us are leaving her, so itโs definitely a MOMENT for us as parents. I have been away from her for one night before, but David was with her at home so - until now - one of us has always been with her overnight. Weโll miss her, but I know sheโs in good hands. And honestly, a couple days in Vegas sounds pretty nice right now!
