My breezy, Hill Country look
This week I spent some time in the Texas Hill Country with family and friends for my cousin's bachelorette girls trip. I had been eyeing this adorable boutique hotel (Juniper Hills Farm) for a while, and I finally got to stay there! I have to say it was worth the wait. The first night we took a party bus into Austin for dinner and drinks, spent the next day out by the infinity edge pool relaxing, and then enjoyed a cooking class (Italian - yum) on the property. Perhaps most importantly, lots of champagne and macaroons were enjoyed.
With all the fun planned, I had to find the perfect dress to wear. In case you aren't aware, it's hot in Texas. So, I needed my dress to be lightweight and breezy. Nothing too heavy or dark. I stumbled across this Madewell dress and knew it was the one. The pastel colors were perfect, and the floral pattern reminded me so much of the Texas Hill Country. I wanted to give the dress a little more shape, so I threw on a Joie belt of mine from another dress and it really gave me a more defined waist. A simple pair of tan flats to match the belt combined with some simple jewelry, and my breezy, Hill Country look was complete.
