Last Friday, my husband and I hosted our 4th annual Christmas Party at the Caswell House in Austin. Every year it's a hunt to find the perfect dress. In the past, I've gone with red lace options a couple times, and one year it was Christmas green sequins. But, this year, I wanted something a little different. Something that made me step outside my box a bit.

I knew I had found the perfect option when I stumbled upon this 2-piece dress by Black Halo (number 5). I'd never worn a midi skirt before (I love them, but have never had the occasion to wear one) and this one was the perfect shade of red. It runs a little small, so size up if you decide to purchase. I paired the dress with those amazing Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' pumps (number 11).

I'll post pictures of that particular look in a future post, but for now I'll hopefully help y'all out a bit on your own hunt for the perfect Holiday Party dress. I am pretty obsessed with that metallic gold dress by Tibi (number 14) - I almost purchased it myself. If sequins are your thing, number 4 above would look great with some black hose and pumps. If you're into lace, then the Dianne Von Furstenberg metallic lace shift dress (size up on that one too) would be a great choice.

I hope this helps you out! Happy hunting!

XOXO,
