Garden Party Maxi
I've had so many wedding events to attend this summer! I guess I'm just hitting that age in life where all my friends are taking the plunge. I'm not complaining though, it's been a blast celebrating with them, not to mention how much fun I've had shopping for the perfect outfits to wear.
This weekend, I wore this Yumi Kim maxi dress to an afternoon bridal shower in Houston. I am really digging pastel color palettes lately, so the pastel (and slightly neon) color on this dress immediately caught my eye. Then, when I saw the strappy, low cut back I was sold. The fit is extremely flattering - especially good for busty girls with some curves - but really it can work for all body types. It's silk, lightweight (very important for the high temperatures we are experiencing in Texas right now), and comfortable enough to wear all day long. The pink in the dress is what popped the most to me, so I chose this pastel pink ASOS crossbody to really bring out that color in the dress. I just wore it with a simple pair of Sam Edelman flats for comfort, but depending on your height you could definitely wear it with some cute wedges. The earrings are Kendra Scott and the best part is they're iridescent - so the bright colors of the dress bounced off them perfectly.
I've also chosen a couple more of my favorite items from Yumi Kim for you to check out as well. Wear these fun, summery patterns while you still can!
I got tons of compliments when I wore this garden party dress, so be prepared to be the center of attention when you wear it!
